The Tibetan Cultural Center (TCC) in Belgium successfully held its Annual Board Meeting on June 14, 2025. This important event brought together over 40 participants, including board members, representatives from the six Jamyang Lophel Schools, teachers, and the head of the Parents’ Association.
Purpose of the Meeting
The meeting focused on strengthening the quality of education and exploring ways to improve teaching methods across the six Jamyang Lophel Schools. It served as a platform for reflection, collaboration, and future planning.
Meeting Highlights
• The session opened with a welcome speech by the President of TCC, who emphasized the importance of adhering to the organization’s rules and regulations and reminded attendees of the values and goals of the Center.
• The Annual Report for the year 2024–2025 was then presented, outlining key achievements, progress made in various areas, and the challenges faced throughout the year.
• Following this, each department and responsible member delivered their respective reports, covering academic progress, school activities, administrative updates, and community involvement.
• In the afternoon session, new board members were officially appointed to serve in various roles for the upcoming term. The appointments were made in accordance with organizational procedures and with input from key stakeholders.
Conclusion
The full-day meeting concluded with a closing address by the President, who thanked all attendees for their active participation and ongoing commitment. The event reinforced a shared vision of improving Tibetan education in Europe while preserving the values and cultural identity of the community.
