Earlier this month, TCC invited 10 graduate students from Antwerp and 4 from Brussels to take on significant roles and responsibilities within our organization.
The photos we posted are just examples of the graduates. They show how the students started when they began their classes and where they are now.
2023 marks the first graduating class of Jamyang Lophel School. To celebrate this milestone, we organized a visit to Dharamsala, home of the Tibetan government-in-exile, and a special audience with His Holiness the Dalai Lama in Ladakh.
His words of wisdom have inspired our graduates to serve their communities, and many are now volunteering to teach younger students.
This year, the TCC board is undergoing changes, and we need to appoint new members. While most of our graduates are able to join this special meeting, some have expressed that they are not yet ready due to their studies and other commitments. However, we are confident that they will continue to serve our community, especially in the fields of culture and language.
We are delighted that several of our esteemed graduates have already stepped up to take on important roles within TCC. We are immensely proud of their commitment and readiness to assume these responsibilities.
Our goal has always been to cultivate a spirit of service and awareness among our youth, encouraging them to see themselves as agents of positive change, whether in Dharamsala or within their own communities.
We wanted them to understand that being Tibetan is not just about language; it encompasses a rich heritage, traditions, and a deep sense of responsibility towards one’s people.
We are so proud of what they have achieved. From starting Tibetan language classes at a young age to now taking on these important responsibilities, they are truly making a difference.
Congratulations to Our First Graduate Students!
