On Saturday, 23 November 2024, the Tibetan Cultural Center in Brugge and the Igbo Union West Flanders collaborated on a cultural event in Brugge

The Tibetan Cultural Center (TCC) in Belgium is committed to preserving Tibetan language and culture while fostering cultural exchange with the local Belgian community. Through language classes, cultural events, and collaborative activities, the TCC promotes mutual understanding, showcasing Tibetan heritage and embracing diversity to safeguard Tibetan identity and contribute to a harmonious multicultural society.

The Tibetan Cultural Center (TCC) in Brugge was honored to welcome the Mayor of Brugge, Mr. Dirk De fauw, as the guest of honor at the event, which was attended by hundreds of participants. In his speech, Mr. De fauw emphasized the importance of preserving Tibetan culture and identity and recognized the valuable contributions of the Tibetan community in enriching the cultural diversity of Brugge. As a gesture of appreciation, he presented certificates of recognition to the dedicated Tibetan volunteer teachers, acknowledging their tireless efforts in preserving and promoting Tibetan heritage.


The event featured captivating performances by TCC’s students, who showcased traditional Tibetan dances and songs, delighting the audience with their talent and enthusiasm. The celebration concluded with a tasting of authentic Tibetan dishes, offering attendees a chance to experience the rich flavors of Tibetan cuisine. The event created a joyful and harmonious atmosphere, leaving everyone with a deeper appreciation for Tibetan culture.
