Graduate Student Visit and Preparation for India 2025

Saturday, 24th May – Jamyang Lophel School, Antwerp

On Saturday, 24th May, the first graduate student from Oostende visited Antwerp to exchange experiences and begin preparations for future volunteer roles at the Tibetan Cultural Center (TCC). The TCC has launched a special program for graduate students, many of whom are expected to become volunteer teachers or board members by 2025—an important step in preserving Tibetan culture and language.

The day began with the Tibetan national anthem and a group prayer, setting a respectful tone. Students then toured Jamyang Lophel School and participated in a discussion between graduates from Antwerp and Oostende.

After a break, the focus shifted to the upcoming Educational Trip to India in 2025. Students shared trip objectives, project details, and watched video clips from last year’s journey for insight. The session also introduced key destinations, including Dharamsala, and highlighted the special opportunity to attend the 90th birthday celebration of His Holiness the Dalai Lama.

A lively Q&A session wrapped up the event, leaving everyone feeling inspired and ready for the trip to India this July.

Special thanks to Tethong Wangpo (ICT EU) for supporting this meaningful event.
