A Successful First Tibetan Festival & 18th Anniversary Celebration of Tibetan Cultural Center
Antwerp, Belgium | 12–13 September 2026
The Tibetan Cultural Center (TCC), Belgium, is delighted to share the success of its first-ever Tibetan Festival in Belgium, held on Saturday, 12 September, and Sunday, 13 September, in Antwerp, celebrating the 18th anniversary of TCC.
The two-day festival was a wonderful celebration of Tibetan culture, heritage, friendship and community. All programmes and activities went very well, bringing together members of the Tibetan community, Belgian friends and international guests.
One of the major highlights was the large exhibition dedicated to the life of His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama, featuring photographs from his childhood to his 90th birthday, along with hundreds of books written by and about His Holiness in Tibetan and English.
The exhibition was especially meaningful for our children and younger generations, providing them with an opportunity to learn about His Holiness’s life and teachings, connect with their Tibetan heritage, and develop a deeper appreciation of Tibetan culture, history and values. We believe that sharing our knowledge and heritage with future generations is essential to preserving our cultural identity.
Visitors also enjoyed Tibetan calligraphy, educational talks, historical and cultural films, traditional songs and dances, and delicious Tibetan food.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to all our members, volunteers, performers, supporters, guests and friends whose dedication and hard work made this festival possible. A special thank you to our Belgian friends for joining us and sharing this memorable occasion.
As we celebrate 18 years of the Tibetan Cultural Center, we look forward to continuing our work to preserve, promote and share Tibetan culture while strengthening friendship and understanding between communities.
We hope this first Tibetan Festival will become a cherished tradition for many years to come.
Thank you all for being part of this special celebration!
